The Company
PALS Productions has 10 years’ experience of working within theatre in education - providing schools with an animated approach to education, designed to enhance curriculum subjects.
PALS was founded in 2004, and five years on, has established itself as a highly successful theatre in education company. Hundreds of satisfied customers continue to book PALS year after year.
This vibrant company successfully toured open air venues throughout Britain with its award winning performance of Robin Hood Retold. PALS has also earned recommendations from a variety of borough councils, including Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.

Who we Are
PALS is run and owned by husband and wife Alan and Laura Parker. It is company policy to employ only qualified and trained actors for all PALS shows and all the workshop leaders hold an enhanced CRB certificate. The company holds £6,000,000 public and employer’s liability insurance and is a member of Investors in People and Equity. |

Laura Parker - PALS Director
Laura plays a vital role in the running of the company. She writes, directs and acts in the productions and is also responsible for administration, marketing, bookings, and teacher liaison.
Laura graduated with a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts with distinctions, completing her studies in 1998. Laura then toured for several theatre- in-education companies both in the UK and abroad performing in shows from Othello to Pinocchio. She has also performed open-air Shakespeare productions of A Midsummer Nights Dream and Macbeth.
For the past five years Laura has also worked as a drama, dance and singing teaching for Stagecoach Theatre Arts and various other youth drama clubs.

Alan Parker - PALS Director
Alan directs and acts in the productions and is responsible for set design and construction.
Alan graduated from Newcastle College of Performing and Visual Arts in 2000 where he gained a HND with distinctions. During this time he appeared in Byker Grove (BBC) and a television drama, Colour Blind by Catherine Cookson.
After leaving Newcastle he toured throughout Italy, performing in shows from to Pinocchio to Romeo and Juliet and delivered a variety of drama based workshops. He also stared in Wind and the Willows touring open-air venues around England.

Marc McGarry - Actor Marc moved to Northampton in 2004 to study Theatre and Drama, graduating with HND and BA respectively. After a lead role in “Devil In Drag”, bit roles in TVs “Mersey Beat” and a supporting Role in “Hamlet” with singer Jane Burkin, he became the first external employee of Pals for their tour of “Robin Hood”.
Since joining Pals, in 2006 Marc has become a dedicated member of the PALS team performing a variety of roles in “A Christmas Carol” and “The Snow Queen”. Marc has also toured some of his own shows “Out of the Blue” and comedy “Clutching Straws”.
Marc’s other skills include workshops in Comedia del Arte, Improvisation, Clowning and Writing/Directing.

Kerry Langham- Actress & Workshop Leader
Kerry trained at the Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, where she completed a 3 year musical theatre diploma.
Whilst studying, Kerry’s acting credits include Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Ernest, Linda in the Blood Brothers and many others. Since finishing her studies Kerry has landed a number of professional roles where she has extensively toured theatre in education throughout the UK.
Kerry has been working for Pals Productions for nearly two years now and has performed in The Snow Queen, Henry VIII, The Waste Watchers and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Kerry is also a qualified and experienced drama and dance teacher and puts her skills to good use working as a drama/dance workshop leader for PALS Productions.

Hannah Hillier - Actress & Workshop Leader
Hannah trained at the Arthur Cotterell Theatre, gaining a BA Honours Degree in Drama: Acting for Stage and Media. Other accreditations include a Gold Medallion in Acting (LAMDA).
Throughout her training Hannah has performed in a variety of plays from ‘Henry VIII’ to ‘Abigail’s party’. She has also performed in short films, playing the part of Marilyn Monroe in ‘Goodbye Norma Jean’ and Laura in ‘Cheated Hearts’ Alongside Acting, Hannah teaches Speech and Drama to young children.
Hannah has worked for PALS Productions for nearly a year and during that time she played leading roles in ‘The Snow Queen’, The Waste Watchers’ and World War Two production, ‘A letter from the Country’.
Hannah is also one of PALS’ experienced workshop leaders, teaching subjects such as recycling, history and fairytales through drama.
